Anchor hold the boat in one position away from the shore or if the shore is not equipped for mooring. Compactness of the anchor is very important due to small inside room of the boat.

When choosing the anchor one should consider that the weight of anchor must be equal to 10% of the boat’s weight or 1% of the boat’s length. Wind and characteristics of the pond such as flow or waves should also be taken into consideration.
