I’d like to make a review of my new boat that I have recently bought. I think I have to show you my new purchase. Considering that I show you my new tackles, this new boat is quite substantial.

So my friend this is the boat Storm MA220 Magellan. It is 220 cm length.  This boat I suppose to use for two main purposes: 

1. First one is fishing crucian in cane.

2. The second but also important is boating on river Psel and chub fishing.

Why have I chosen Storm and Magellan line of boats? I’ve been choosing a boat that fits my requirements for a long time and this boat fits perfectly. 

For fishing in cane I need a boat with sharp bow. I looked through models of other producers but haven’t found a boat with such length made of good and that is the most important high-quality PVC.

Friends, if you are fishing in cane for crucian, I bet you know that you can damage the boat with broken cane. If PVC boat isn't dense enough it tears easily.

 Storm boat from Magellan line is made of 850 g/m2 PVC fabrics. Beside the density of PVC fabrics, the other important detail is sharp bow of the boat. Why? Because when you’re fishing in cane you need to get into the cane. Sharp bow helps you to go through the cane. I haven’t found a boat with sharp bow and dense PVC among models of other producers. Magellan boat is the best choice.

I need to say that the third important thing for me was the length of the boat. I’ve been looking for a boat for one person. I already have a boat for trips with friend or just sander fishing. But I think this boat will help me as well as my second one. As I often go crucian fishing and will use this boat all the time.

Now let's consider technical characteristics. Those who like fishing in cane know that density of PVC fabrics in important. Boats Storm from Magellan line are made of 850 g/m2 PVC, that is good for such kind of the boat. Boats of other producers have  lower density. That is why Magellan boat is better. This is almost the main criterion when choosing a boat for fishing in cane.

Comfortable handles for carrying. The boat is single-seat. Boat has carrying capacity of 160kg. The boat can carry two persons if you want to. You can mount a motor on this boat up to 3.5 horse powers. The boat has balloons with 34cm diameter that is good for such boat. Other producers offer boats with 28 cm diameter that is too small for boating on waves. I have seen reviews on such boats, when person sits in a boat, it  dives in water for half of it's height. And Magellan boat is great, I've just tried to boat to the island and I like as it goes on the water.

This boat has two balloons, it is fast to pump, the set of the boat includes pump, instruction, documents, repair kit. This is standard situation. Oarlocks are reliable and do not creak. I also liked this thing (shows) - half turn and the valve is closed. So you see the cap of this valve (shows) closes so awesome. The set of this boat can be changed due to your requirements, sliding seats can be mounted so the seat will slide along the boat. But I don’t need it.

As I can remember there were camouflage and white colours available. But I didn’t need it. There are lifelines on sides the boat that is also very useful. Boat into the cane, fasten lifeline to the cane and you can fish comfortably.

Seams are of high quality. They are straight, symmetric, adhesive does not jut out.

My boat has two slats in the set. There can be more slats in the set for more stability. The boat with full set weighs 12 kg., but without slats that I don’t use even less..

To say the truth it is very comfortable for me to have such a lightweight boat. This boat is sold with the bag for transportation. And this bag is very comfortable, you can carry it as a bag in your hands or even as a backpack.
